Mexican 'gatorade' to steady my nerves.

Off-roading and e-brake power slides and we couldn't even get a flat tire let alone a busted oil pan.

After a 45 minute commute, we arrived to this 200m long right with one guy out and charging.

There are either a lot of sharks or this is a full on secret spot. The best fish tacos were ready when you came in.

This place is called 'El Rancho'. So I fly all this way and I still gotta drive 45 minutes to surf 'the ranch'. Pause for irony. Fat, stupid texans trying to burn me on every third wave. Pretty shells on the beach though...

Beach chairs in the wet sand. Chill-Factor: 8 Our fabulous rental house is directly behind Scott. A few margaritas and a fancy blue hat sealed the deal.

There's that spot again, ripping again 4-10' and perfect with that same guy out. You would think the paddling channel is on the left, but you and all the other fat texans on longboards would be wrong.

Our favorite spot again. No one out, perfect and cranking. The right is the way you want to go. 100-200m rides as fast as you could go with a barrel section at the end. (Or maybe we could surf with 40 knuckle heads at El Rancho)

December 21 Sand Spit rush hour buffoonery. No scrap or crumb went uneaten.

Misty morning on Dec 21 in Goleta, toping out at triple overhead plus.

I got back from the North Shore at 1 AM and got called by Jim at 5AM. There is a little speck on the third wave that is a surfer going big.
