Susan took Hamal to our veteranarian for his first visit and to plan his vaccinations schedule for his puppyhood. And also just to let Dr. Knighton ,who was Rocko’s vet for 15 years, meet him. I had thought he was around 8-9 pounds in weight..wrong!…he weighed 15 pounds!!! OMG! A few pix from our morning and afternoon walks yesterday.
A large controlled burn below MDO State park made a gigantic smoke plume out to sea.
Dick and I had a really enjoyable MTB ride on Thursday eve. Unfortunately for me I got a tick bite (and a bad reaction to it) plus a nice little case of Poison Oak from bushwacking the old mini Moab slickrock section. Ugh!

yup 30 days after the first rain the ticks happen, just dipped the dogs.
Hamel looks active!
Sigh. Swoon.
He is growing up! Just love the first photo. Little Hamel casts a mighty shadow.
Ticks …poison oak…..makes us tame as over here…..;-)
Tauras…..*active* is an understatement. He goes really good for a while then has these bursts of energy that are pretty hard to tame. We are trying really hard no to reinforce any bad behaviour. He a really smart dog and a joy for 90% of the time…the other 10% ?…well I’m sure you know!
Miff…you got that right… he *wants* to cast a mighty shadow. We had a battle on the way home today . I had to pullover twice. It is really hard to get him to the calm and submissive state with out getting angry…but I succeeded and he was a doll after the little episode. Ticks and PO…yeah but you guys have Funnel webs and the 10 most poisonous snakes on the planet!! But the GREEN of that rainforest is pretty awesome!
